Comedy night returns on the unluckiest of nights-Friday the 13th, at the Red Bicycle Bistro and Sushi. Before the show starts you will be made to walk under a ladder, break a mirror, and then a black cat will be paraded back and forth in front of you. After that things will get weird.
Your host Steffon Moody will make sure of that. In some of his past lives Steffon was a ringmaster, an alchemist, a court jester and a concubine. He puts all those skills to use on Comedy Night. He is the host, you are his guest. Enjoy.
We are very happy to have Nigel Larson back as our headliner. He was here 18 months ago and we are excited to see his new stuff. He’s been working out new material EVERY DAY since he was here. We are also excited to see if he has grown because we think he is really 12 years old. He totally killed the crowd last time and really endeared himself to the Vashon folks.
We have two Blomgrens for your entertainment, so whether you like your Blomgren Anders-style or Per-Lars style, we’ve got you covered. Have a Drink.
James Cottrell will be onstage for the first time--birth of a legend? Who knows? But if you miss it you will feel dumb. Enjoy some sushi DURING THE SHOW! Erik Lundeen will be back with more jokes. That man is funny even offstage, so why should we expect anything less onstage? Huh? Let’s all do a shot of tequila!
Mick Etchoe is appearing for the first time. There is literally nothing more I can tell you about that, except that you oughtta be there. And maybe we should get some jello shots? Do they have those? Cara Rosselini is making a return to her stand up roots. She is coming all the way from Seattle so anything less than a standing ovation would just be rude, people. What’s in a fuzzy nipple? Let’s all get one.
Jim Farrell will be back and either he’ll either be really funny and insightful or he’ll read the menu aloud in a monotone voice. Somebody get that guy a beer, jeez.
Technically this is an all-ages event, but if you bring children everyone will give you the hairy eyeball because it really isn’t appropriate for children—adult themes will be unpacked, turned inside-out, and passed around the room. Comedy starts at 8 P.M. and it can get wicked crowded, so order your drinks in bulk.
