Friends of Mary Sage Hold Successful Fundraiser

Mary Sage, a long time Islander, was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2015.  Mary needs a bone marrow transplant, which is not fully covered by insurance.  Thanks to the support of local  businesses and the hard work and generosity of community members, friends of Mary raised enough money to pay for the transplant. Special thanks goes to Lyn Solander of Vashon Massage, Candy Jennings of Glow, and Sarah St. Germain of Uninhibited Ink for their contributions to a raffle, as well as Pattie Hanmer, Mary Ann Beardsley, Christie Penning, Kathy Ferrari, Kathleen Tuma, Judy Beggs, Molly Van Valkenburg, Valerie Howe, Bonnie McAllister, Carol Jones, Janice Johns, Laura Wishik, Marie Browne and others who worked together and contributed to the raffle, sold tickets,  and served a fabulous Italian dinner at St John Vianney last week.  The lucky raffle basket winners were Mary Margaret Briggs and Lisbet Sell.
